Coordinate everything between the vendors, your service providers (utilities, security, landscaping etc.) and your family – make sure all service interruptions are scheduled, each stage is over some time before the next one is due to commence, and someone is always on site to oversee the work being done;

6. Follow up on your plan, and make sure you get what you paid for in a timely fashion.
